    For an intimate scene with actor Tom Hanks the DoP Frank Griebe and Director Tom Tykwer used the Kenworthy-Nettmann Snorkel Camera, provided by MAT. This way a scene full of atmosphere was established - including unconventional, exciting camera angles.

    The Grand Budapest Hotel

    The MAT-TOWERCAM® XM / XL and the MAT-TOWERCAM® FXL (inverted) were used by DoP Robert Yeoman during the shooting of the Wes Anderson movie THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL. Anderson constantly encouraged Yeoman and key grip Sanjay Sami to find new ways to accomplish shots. A new addition to their toolkit was the MAT-TOWERCAM®, a telescoping camera platform from MAT in Berlin.

    Jim Jarmusch and the new MAT-Towercam®

    Jim Jarmusch and his DoP Yorick Le Saux worked with the unique MAT-TOWERCAM® Twin Peek FXL, the inverted telescoping camera column, to create one of the most hypnotic and mesmerizing openings in recent memory: "an image of spinning stars dissolves over a record player that, then, cuts back and forth between alternating overhead rotating captures of Adam and Eve."
